The Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (hereinafter – the Department) is a structural subdivision of the state educational institution “University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus,” established in 2002.

The main tasks of the Department are:

• Organizational and information support for research-oriented education in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
• Coordination and monitoring of students’ completion of educational programs of postgraduate and doctoral studies of research-oriented education in the scientific organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
• Analysis of the implementation of educational programs of research-oriented education in the organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in order to improve the quality of training of highly qualified scientific personnel in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The activities of the Department are carried out in accordance with the Education Code of the Republic of Belarus, the Regulation on the Training of Highly Qualified Scientific Personnel in the Republic of Belarus, other regulatory legal acts of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Charter of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Charter of the University, decisions of the Council of the University, orders, and instructions of the Rector of the University.
