The Festival of National Cultures was held at the University

The preservation of cultural traditions has always been the foundation of the Belarusian society, a strong basis for further development and prosperity. Moreover, it is important to strengthen interethnic cultural ties that allow for dialogue based on mutual respect and interest. Under this motto, on February 20, the Festival of National Cultures was held at the University. The event was attended by over 60 undergraduates from Belarus and the People’s Republic of China.

The event included a presentation of traditional national holidays – Shrovetide and Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, with an excursion to the origins of these folk traditions, their history and symbols.

The event ended with a degustation of traditional national dishes prepared by Belarusian and Chinese undergraduates, as well as photos as a sign of friendship and cooperation.
