Meeting of foreign Master’s students with an employee of the Department for Citizenship and Migration

On October 7, a meeting of Master’s students from the PRC with an inspector of the Department for Citizenship and Migration of the Pervomaisky District of Minsk was held at the University. Senior Police Lieutenant Polyakova Olga Viktorovna, in a conversation with foreign students, touched upon a wide range of topics: the performance of labour activity by foreign citizens who have arrived in the Republic of Belarus for the purpose of obtaining education, the prevention of offenses and crimes among foreign students, the rules of stay in the country during the summer holidays, the prevention of extremist activity; special attention was paid to issues of cybersecurity, digital hygiene, ways to protect personal data, and also how to avoid fraudulent schemes in the digital space in everyday life.

A representative of the DCM explained to foreign students the consequences of possible violations: from administrative fines to deportation and a ban on entry into the Republic of Belarus. Holding such meetings helps foreign citizens better navigate the legislation, avoid mistakes due to ignorance and feel more confident during their studies in Belarus.

During the event, foreign students were able to get answers to their questions.
