Round Table Dedicated to Constitution Day

On March 12, 2026, on the eve of the national holiday of Constitution Day, the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus held a round table on “The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and the Development of the National Legal System”.
In his welcoming address to the participants of the round table, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dmitry Mazarchuk, emphasised that in modern realities the Constitution is not only the foundation of the legal system, but also a strategic guideline defining the sovereignty and vector of sustainable development of the state.
The organiser of the round table was the Department of Biological and Economic Disciplines, and the moderator was the Head of the Department, Alexander Dashkevich, who focused attention on the inextricable link between the legal field and scientific activity.
The participants of the round table discussed issues related to the role and place of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus in the development of the national legal system. Promising areas for improving legislation in modern conditions, based on the ideological imperatives of legal policy, were also examined.
