“Lesson of Memory” with the laying of flowers at the monument to V.I. Lenin.

Paying tribute to the pages of the history of our country, the leadership and Master’s students of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus held a “Lesson of Memory” dedicated to the Day of the October Revolution at the monument to V.I. Lenin.

Our country is one of the few that preserves the tradition of nation-wide celebration of the Day of the October Revolution on November 7. The Revolution of 1917 became one of the most significant events of the 20th century and radically influenced the course of subsequent history. Thanks to the October Revolution, the Belarusian people gained statehood, created economic and intellectual potential, and preserved and enriched the national culture. The Revolution served as the beginning of the construction of a new society based on the principles of social equality, solidarity, and respect for working people.

As a tribute to the memory of this significant date, the leadership and Master’s students of the University laid flowers at the monument to V.I. Lenin on Independence Square.
