Graduate of the Belarusian State University, Department of Solid State Physics (1983). In 1993, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences on the topic “Structure formation in metals and alloys under thermal cycling.” In 2005, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences on the topic “Regularities of structure formation processes and the thermodynamic aspect of structure organisation of metals under non-stationary energy impacts.”

Currently, she is Head of a Department at the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Specialist in the fields of: physics of metals and metallurgy, heat treatment; X-ray structural analysis of metals and alloys; microscopic analysis of materials.

The results of her research work were included in the TOP-10 achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for 2021.

She is a member of the Academic Council of the State Scientific Institution “IAP NAS of Belarus,” and the editorial boards of the journals “Foundry and Metallurgy,” and “Non-Destructive Testing and Diagnostics.” Author of more than 300 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 2 inventions.

Research interests:

  • investigation of structure formation processes in materials under cyclic (pulsed) impacts of various natures;
  • X-ray structural analysis of metals and alloys.
