The Department was established in 2023 and is a structural subdivision of the University, which ensures the implementation of educational, scientific and methodological activities. The priority task of the Department is the organization and conduct of educational and scientific-methodological work in the academic disciplines assigned to the Department, with the aim of ensuring effective training of personnel within the framework of advanced higher education.

Educational activities are carried out by the teaching staff with the participation of leading scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers of the scientific institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and other organizations of a scientific, innovative and educational nature in accordance with the educational standards of advanced higher education. The Department is a graduating department in the accredited specialities “Economics,” “Jurisprudence,” “Biology,” “Veterinary Medicine.” Special attention in the implementation of educational activities is paid to the ideological and educational work with students in accordance with the provisions of the ideology of the Belarusian state.

The scientific activity of the Department is carried out taking into account the research directions of the teaching staff in the field of relevant sciences and provides for participation in the implementation of the university-wide scientific topic. The research topics are aimed at scientific and methodological support of the taught academic disciplines and include, among other things, issues of legal regulation of the functioning of civil society and state bodies, legal support for the development of science and culture, interstate cooperation and integration development in the Eurasian space, modern features of management and enterprise economics, the effectiveness of projects and foreign economic activity, the development of export potential and prospects for Belarus’s foreign trade relations, and anthropometric, genetic and molecular-genetic studies of biological processes and phenomena.

The teaching staff and Master’s students of the Department take an active part in international and republican conferences (seminars) at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, other scientific and educational centers in the Republic of Belarus and abroad, including the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference “Training of Scientific Personnel: Experience, Problems, Prospects,” which is held at the University, as well as in the preparation of the collection of scientific papers of Master’s students and postgraduate students “Master’s Herald.” Scientific and practical seminars on current issues are held on a regular basis. Supervision of the preparation of scientific works of Master’s students for participation in scientific competitions is carried out. The research of Master’s students receives high praise at scientific and scientific-practical events and serves as a basis for continuing studies in postgraduate programs.

Scientific and methodological work is carried out with the aim of improving and ensuring the educational process in the academic disciplines of the specialities. The main directions of scientific and methodological work are the preparation of educational and program documentation and educational and methodological support of the taught academic disciplines, the introduction and use of effective educational technologies, methods, and techniques, taking into account the forms of study and specialities in accordance with the educational standards of advanced higher education, and the improvement of the scientific and methodological level of the teaching staff.

The customers for personnel in the specialities assigned to the Department are the corresponding scientific institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, other scientific centers, educational institutions, state bodies, and other organizations of various organizational and legal forms and types of activities, taking into account the specifics of the professional field.
