Excursion to the Research Museum of Belarusian Art and Culture

On April 15, 2026, as part of the research practice of Belarusian and Chinese students in the specialisations of Art Studies, Sociology, and Archaeology of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, an excursion was held to the Research Museum of Belarusian Art and Culture of the Department of Ancient Belarusian Culture of the Institute of Art Studies, Ethnography and Folklore named after Kondrat Krapiva. The excursion was conducted by the Director of the Museum, Candidate of Art Studies, Boris Andreevich Lazuko.

The master’s students were introduced to the history of art and material culture of Belarus from prehistoric times to the present day.

The students saw the country’s largest collection of icons, artistic textiles, folk costumes, ceramics and glass, as well as finds from excavations of ancient sites, icons, sculptures, traditional costumes, and household items of Belarusians, and were able to see the richness and uniqueness of Belarusian culture.
