Rector of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in the meeting of the “National School of Rectors.”

With the aim of discussing current directions of higher education development and exchanging experience in organizing the activities of higher education institutions, the “National School of Rectors” began its work on August 25. The first meeting of the project was devoted to issues of state youth policy, the quality of modern education, strengthening the infrastructure of universities, and increasing the export of educational and scientific services.

The work of the “National School of Rectors” was attended by heads of leading universities of the country, experts, and representatives of government bodies, including the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus Igor Karpenko, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets, and the Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Society “Znanie” Vadim Gigin.

Rector of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Marat Zhilinsky took an active part in the meeting. During the discussion, it was noted that the personnel composition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus includes about one third of young people from the entire composition of the Academy, and participation in such a dialogue allows not only to adopt the successful experience of colleagues but also to develop unified strategic approaches to the implementation of state youth policy.
