A Ceremonial Presentation of State Diplomas to Graduates of the Master’s Degree Program of the University of the National Academy of Sciences was Held

On June 30, 2026, at 10.00, in the large conference hall of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, a ceremonial presentation of state diplomas to graduates of the Master’s degree program of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus of 2026 was held in the following specialities:

For the first time, all graduates were presented with University graduate badges. Diplomas were presented to Master’s students for works that received the 1st category of the XXXII Republican Competition of Student Research Papers, signed by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus.

Graduates who became finalists of the Republican Youth Project “100 Ideas for Belarus” and successfully completed their Master’s studies with grades of 9 and 10 were awarded University medals.

It should be noted that 81% of graduates defended their Master’s theses with grades of 9 and 10. 16 people received Master’s diplomas with honours. Master’s degree graduates constantly constitute about 70% of the contingent of applicants entering the full-time postgraduate program of the Academy.

The ceremony was attended by Master’s students, the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, academic secretaries of the departments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, institute directors, and relatives and friends of the graduates.

The diplomas were presented to the Master’s students by the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Vitaly Gennadievich Zalessky.

The graduates were congratulated by the Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission Alexander Guchok, the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vasily Gursky, the Academic Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts Alexander Kovalenya, the Director of the Executive Directorate of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research Alexey Daineko, the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists Maxim Kuchvalsky, and others.

On behalf of the Chinese Master’s students, an ancient Chinese 7-string musical instrument, the Qixianqin, was presented as a gift to the University.

A wonderful addition to the solemn atmosphere were musical performances by graduates of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, including foreign students from China, as well as by a 2025 graduate of the University, Tariel Tarielovich Maisuradze – a well-known Belarusian singer, composer, and film actor.
