The University held a festive event dedicated to the Day of Knowledge.

On September 1, 2026, the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a traditional ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of Knowledge. The event opened with the performance of the State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. Next, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dmitry Mazarchuk addressed those present, congratulating the newly enrolled Master’s students on the start of the academic year and wishing them productive studies within the walls of the institution. The Vice-Rector noted that the specificity of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the close integration of the educational process in the Master’s program with the achievements and developments of scientific organizations of the Academy of Sciences.

The Master’s students were acquainted with the organizational aspects of studying at the University by the Head of the Master’s Department Natalia Kurilo and the Head of the Sector for Ideological and Educational Work Anna Strekha. They explained the internal rules for students, and also touched upon issues of scholarship calculation, medical care and membership in public organisations.

The congratulations were continued by the Heads of Departments Alexander Dashkevich, Natalia Serzhant and Vladimir Shkurko. They introduced the Master’s students to the specifics of educational programmes in their specialities, the research work conducted at the departments, and the procedure for choosing topics for Master’s theses. The Heads of Departments wished the students not to be afraid of difficult tasks, to actively engage in research activities and to confidently pursue their professional goals.

The ceremonial meeting ended with the announcement of the official start of classes, marking the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year for a new generation of young researchers.
