The University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus organized the music festival “Harmony of Cultures”.

On May 25, 2026, a landmark creative event took place in the White Hall of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus: the music festival Harmony of Cultures. Belarus China.  The art festival was organized by the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The event brought together representatives of the scientific, educational and cultural communities of the two countries under its roof. The festival program was filled with bright performances by staff, graduate students and undergraduates of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian State Academy of Music, the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank. The performed works of Chinese folk and academic music, the Belarusian piano school and world classics formed a single concert space. The evening‘s flavor and refined Oriental atmosphere were enhanced by the use of traditional Chinese instruments the hulusi and erhu. The special significance of the evening was given by the venue: musical numbers were performed against the background of the Exhibition of a masterpiece. Walk Marc Chagall. The image of flight, love and spiritual movement associated with the great canvas subtly echoed the idea of mutual attraction of cultures. Among the honored guests in the hall was People‘s Artist of Belarus Vladimir Petrov, whose presence emphasized the continuity of generations and the high professional level of the meeting. The culmination of the festival was the joint performance of the Belarusian folk song Kupalinka, followed by the Chinese folk song Me and My Country. In his closing remarks to the performers and guests of the festival, Dmitry Mazarchuk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, expressed confidence that the Consonance of Cultures music Festival had laid a solid foundation for a new good tradition aimed at strengthening the BelarusianChinese dialogue, developing international creative cooperation and supporting talented scientific and creative youth.
